Many Windochine sheers and scrim fabrics are directional, or ‘constructed’, in design such that they hang beautifully as flat-fold roman and/or roll shades, or in Japanese shoji-like panels drawn across a series of windows or openings. When ‘railroaded’ others make stunning overlays complementing other fabrics to create multi-textured applications. The fabrics can be backed for additional privacy or sun protection, as well as edged or trimmed. Most can be fire-retarded to NFPA 701 specifications for use in commercial applications.
