Hand loomed locally by master craftsmen steeped in traditional techniques, Windochine's luxurious weaves transcend their cultures to find a new home in ours.

Windochine's signature design is 'Bamboo Silk,' an ultra thin, sheer open weave bamboo scrim, which is lacquered using natural tree resin to achieve a lustrous finish.

Elegant, contemporary textiles of natural grass fibers complement the bamboo collection. These are blends of abaca, in the banana family, raffia, buri and rattan palm, wild pineapple and jute. Indigenous fibers are harvested by hand, split, dried, beaten, or otherwise refined. Whether colored with aniline dyes or used in their natural tones, the fibers are then knotted, spun, and hand woven into these stunning designs.

All plant materials are derived from renewable resources to support a sustainable environment. Most grow solely in the wild, and Windochine uses fibers selectively harvested from mature plants to ensure quality, strength and consistency.
